Sorry just didn't enjoy it at all ! I could relate a fair bit to Sarah in this book..... the ending was not what I was expecting at all but i loved the message that being true to yourself regardless of others is the key to inner peace. I’m totally racked with guilt and shame.I have a new plan though—tell me what you think. But, I'm glad I read through - it was an easy read and a good story.I've just started to read "light" books to switch off at the end of the day. First book I'm actually writing a review for because it made me angry.Not up to Linda Greens usual standards if I'm honest. Sarah made a mistake....a bad mistake...about 10 years ago & now that dreadful deed has come back to haunt her.

A bit predictable though.I was born in North London in 1970 and brought up in Hertfordshire.

The overarching story of IDABT is a fictionalized account of true events - a heinous murder/suicide in New England in 2007. I expected a big revelation as to what the "bad thing" was, that this was more of a thriller like other books I read from Linda, but it wasn't, it was basically a love story. I like how she dumped Jonathan..I hate that guy anyway..The miscarriage part was urm kinda disgusting hahaha but so far.. good book :D My 3 star instead of 4 for this particular novel is based on my feeling that Linda Green was not as comfortable with this one as her others. It might be because in this one she is dealing with a number of difficult topics, and the nuances that are necessary for dealing with these are not as readily available to a fiction writer as a non-fiction writer. and Mr Bird. There was no intrigue I already knew what had happened with Nick and Sarah's relationship so the time hops didn't really grip me. Ultimately though, too little happened to hook me in and I couldn't see or feel the characters. I DID A BAD THING is dark, funny, wicked and true.
