White Plains already has enough rowdy bars to fill the needs of anyone over 21 who wants to party and get wasted. That being said, you can imagine my interest was instantly piqued when I noticed The Blind Pig. It would've been so enjoyable to go here after dinner and be able to relax and sit and talk over a few drinks. "I'm very pleased with this sophisticated establishment.
It's on a side street that you might not normally not walk down for bar action, but totally worth itA great new speakeasy bar, it's off the beaten path of the busy crowds mamaroneck ave. Still unprofessional.Worst bar ever I swear to God the bartender ripped you off and he stiffed you on your drinksSo much potential, beautiful place but extremely loud, I'm only 27 and I was plugging my ears at times. Elegant decoration and fancy furniture. If I can give this place 0 stars I would.
I know they worked at brazen but there are locals who are sick of Mamaroneck Ave bars after 6 years of going there being surrounded by drunken ass hats.
We had the Well Slapped Arse, Purple Panties, Pharmaceutical Stimulant & Pirates Cove. Come January, they'll introduce food to the mix. Also, many of them are attached to restaurants; while that's fine, it also leaves a huge void if you're looking for a dedicated bar/lounge to visit.
The Blind Pig of Westchester, in the spot formerly occupied by Tighe's Tavern, has been completely transformed into a sophisticated bar/lounge. They played club/top 40s music so loud it was blaring from the speakers I couldn't even hear myself think, let alone hear my friends sitting next to me and across from me talk.
Blind Pig is shooting for a Speak Easy Vibe and it shows. I can forgive that to an extent, it was a very busy night while we were there and it could've been stress showing. Highly recommend this spot!" Although the ambience (darkly lit, comfy furnitures, and classy decor) were very nice, this place was no different than any other rowdy bar in downtown WP. After a little research, I learned that this was a speakeasy-style bar that had recently opened. I was expecting Manhattan/NYC-style speakeasy where we can enjoy cocktails over maybe some jazz music quietly playing in the background, and to be able to hear each other's conversation.
