The fish started transitioning into summer patterns a couple weeks ago, but there are still some shallow fish to be caught for sure. As a matter of fact, my customer caught a big one this morning. and a big heavy 1 oz weight to drag the bottom. I like to throw Mexican Heather, Pake’s Perch, or my JC’s Spicy Craw color with a matching trailer like the Berkley Powerbait Pit Boss or Berkley Chigger Craw. We had a few slow days, but the fish started biting a little better toward the end of the trip. The bass fishing on Lake Fork is fire during the month of June! May and early June were great last year for the most part here on Lake Fork. Which really screwed up where I had a great day pre-fishing yesterday. The water is really low down there, and I figure it will be a few years before I’ll make that trek again.
