Four adults in the car and not one of us saw any parking signs or payment machines. Parking is also free for the first hour and a half in one of the parks. I received many threatening letters from them, and eventually the a****holes have given up. I’ve got every right to moan. What utter nonsense. Excel parking being allowed to continue using illegal and unethical means to extract money through insufficient signage, rude attendants, and threatening letters is what doesn’t add any value. In the end, after a few letters I decided to quit while ahead and paid 120 pounds or so to avoid a court appearance which I may have lost.
It is for Excel to take the matter to court. The other night I parked up outside Toys R Us and the 3 nearest meters were not working and everyone had to go down to the meter near the ‘Next’ Store to get tickets. I am really upset, this is a fine I will struggle terribly to pay.I will no longer visit the Peel Centre due to the practices of Excel. If I park somewhere new for the first time then I check to see if there are any signs to say if parking is free or not.
