Because every parking garage is the same no matter where you go, while the restaurant situation is more uncommon. As far as I am concerned, this is the best episode so far in the series not that it is a statement of huge praise in and of itself. After the two find Elaine, Jerry convinces George to ask an attractive woman (Hours pass by as George, Jerry and Elaine wait. Finally, Kramer shows up, having gone on a hunt for the air conditioner because he forgot where he left it. Having gone to a mall in Jersey so Kramer can buy a new air conditioner, George, Jerry, Elaine and Kramer find themselves unable to find their car when they're ready to go home. The exterior shots of the parking garage in this episode is Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City, New Jersey. Here, the central location which the characters once again never leave is much larger, the invaluable Kramer who adds an entirely new dynamic to the show is not just present but the driving force of this episode and "The Parking Garage" being a third season episode, almost instantly elevates it above "The Chinese Restaurant" in spite of the influence of that episode. I mean, who can't relate to not being able to find your car in a parking garage, and just getting lost out of your mind? The Parking Garage is a wildly hilarious episode, that's one of my favorites, the story in this one is brilliant!. I always think of it as the sequel to The Chinese Restaurant: a bottle episode about a situation EVERYONE can relate. These are typically cheaper to produce because it costs less to film in a single location, plus these types of episodes don’t include as many actors. Richards wanted to make his struggle with the box seem genuine.When Kramer struggles to put the box with his air conditioner into the trunk, resulting in him simply slamming the box into the trunk hard, Michael Richards injured himself. George has an outing with his parents, Jerry is in dire need of a bathroom and Elaine's repeated attempts to get help from other shoppers are a dismal failure. it's just really mind changing and almost made me want to start a country just to start my own war. In my opinion, this episode has a much richer central idea than its "prequel". The four get stuck in a parking garage for hours when they forget where they parked. Holly Ordway called the episode "another classic Seinfeld episode" and also stated "the characters spend the whole episode in the same place resulting in an episode that's both memorable and funny." Single Favorite Line: (Kramer) "Jerry, are you aware that, adult diapers are a $600,000,000-a-year Industry?"
