Reel is very smooth, love the trigger, feel is great, but its a heavy reel. Also, not many reels have the Quick Fire trigger system so even if I don't use it that much at least I know it is a feature and I got it. I love the ease of one handed casting and the fact that I never have to look down at the reel to make sure it is aligned for casting. The Spirex FG features Quick Fire II for easy, one-handed casts and A-RB bearings for smooth-as-silk retrieves. Always liked Shimano reels but this is the first of this model that I have owned. As many other reviewers have pointed out, the Quickfire II feature is a tremendous time-saver in terms of getting your lure back into the water at the end of a retrieve, and the fact that the lure hangs at the same distance from the rod tip prior to every cast greatly improves casting accuracy.
