I don't have any whopper ploppers, but have several choppo's. The Choppo’s durable tail propeller won’t melt in your tackle box and the enhanced surface area provides more sound and spray. The Whopper Plopper's claim to fame is its unique rear tail that spins upon retrieval and creates almost a chainsaw-like disturbance that draws fish to the surface. I'm disappointed in Berkley because they made it a point to advertise that the bait wouldn't have the same problems, but as far as I can tell it has the same exact problems.
